All-American Soap Box Derby

The All-American Soapbox Derby National Control Board is looking for new A-team members for the 2012 racing season, and current A-Team members and/or National Control Board members looking to run for the National Control Board. Applications are being accepted until September 30th, and the elections will be in October.

The 2012 National Control Board/A-Team application requirements are as follows:

New applications shall be accepted from the general public in July, August and September each year.  All new application resumes must be in the hands of the Nominating Committee no later than September 30th in order to qualify the applicant.  All existing Control Board members running for re-election must notify the Nominating Committee before September 30th, of their intentions.

All new applicants must provide the following information:

1).  A good current photo of themselves.

2). List experience in Soap Box Derby and any positions held.

3). Tell what assets the applicant has that will benefit the National Control Board and the All-American Soap Box Derby.

4). Furnish three (3) references.

5). Must be able to attend meetings each year including the mandatory meetings for the purpose of running the All-American Soap Box Derby race program and Rules Reviews.  Most of these meetings will be held during August, September, October and November. Attendance can occur via telephone conference calling.

 

6). Will the applicant have a child intending to race within the next three (3) years from the date of election?
