All-American Soap Box Derby Hall of Fame 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee
Norm Perry's association with the Soap Box Derby spans more that 60 years, first as a participant in Atlanta in 1946. After retiring as a quality control inspector for NASA in 1989, he became a volunteering inspector with the Central Florida race. He became director of the Central Florida Soap Box Derby in 1994, and has served as an All-American Soap Box Derby regional director since 1996. Norm has promoted the Derby program by lending his technical expertise to a number of network television productions. He also designed Derby Park in Sanford, Florida. Norm Perry brings innovation to the Soap Box Derby and ensures that every youngster has an opportunity to race. Previous Inductees
